Yash Technologies

Embarking on the interview process at Yash Technologies for a full-time position involved several stages, each designed to test different skills and knowledge areas. Here's a detailed look at my experience across the written test, group discussion, technical interview, and HR round.

1. Written Test
The initial stage of the interview process was a written test. This component is typically aimed at gauging the candidate's aptitude and basic technical proficiency through a series of questions and problems.

2. Group Discussion
Following the written test, I participated in a group discussion. This round is designed to evaluate communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and how well candidates can present their thoughts and opinions in a coherent and persuasive manner.

3. Personal Interview
The personal interview was the most technical and in-depth part of the selection process, involving several challenging questions:

Q1: "Reverse your name in any programming language you are comfortable with."

Answer: I chose Java to reverse my name, implementing a simple string reversal logic using a for-loop and character array.

Q2: Then, the interviewer probed deeper into Java's string handling by asking about the string pool and the behavior of string creation with and without the new keyword.

Answer: I explained on a notepad, detailing how strings are handled in Java's memory management, particularly focusing on the difference in memory usage and location when using String literals versus String objects created with new.

Q3: The next query was about the internal workings of hashmaps.

Answer: Having prepared for such questions, I discussed the structure of hashmaps, including aspects like hashing, how collisions are handled, and the importance of good hash functions.

Q4: Given my experience with version control, I was asked about resolving merge conflicts in Git and GitHub.

Answer: Although slightly unsure, I shared my understanding and experiences of using Git commands to handle merge conflicts, emphasizing practical scenarios I had encountered.

4. HR Interview
The final round was with HR, focusing on softer aspects and logistical questions:

The interviewer asked straightforward questions about my willingness to relocate and details about my family background. This round seemed to assess cultural fit and my adaptability to the company's operational needs.
