How to increase productivity and study for 8-10 except coaching hours?

Be clear with one thing, if you are devoting 8-10 hours for studies and want to make it productive to the maximum extent, then you have to include some time for taking rest, playing games or doing anything which entertains you so that your mind remains refreshed.

Now let's come to the main points you must follow to gain a 90-95% efficiency in what you study:

  1. Make a schedule of what you are going to do all day: Without a proper plan of what you are going to do all day, you would waste your time unnecessarily in deciding what to study; hence it's better to plan the schedule a day before.
  2. Start with the subject you hate the most: In general, you have the maximum concentration during the starting of the day, and since the subject you hate the most requires the most attention, it's better to start with it. Also, your body becomes tired as the day progresses, so if you leave the favorite subject for the end, you will still not feel boredom in studying it.
  3. Eat something before you sit to study: In order to concentrate properly, energy is a must; and for that to be possible, it is a must to eat something before you sit to study. Hence it is advisable to have some breakfast before you sit to study.
  4. Include a mixture of theory and practice questions in your daily schedule: It is crucial to be good at studying the theory and practicing the questions. So try to practice questions along with studying the theory in your daily schedule.
  5. Refresh yourself every 1.5-2 hours: Whenever you complete any task of the planned schedule, refresh yourself by taking some rest, listening to songs, playing games, or anything which entertains you.
  6. Try to include all the three subjects in your daily schedule: Studying a single subject all day would most probably lead to boredom, and you would start losing your efficiency slowly as you study. Hence, try to include at least two subjects in your daily schedule.

The essential thing that I realized during my JEE journey is that your so-called friends are the biggest source of demotivation for you, whenever you will talk with them you will feel depressed to see that he/she has completed most of the syllabus, is scoring decently in the tests, etc.. , so you would ultimately end up losing confidence, and without confidence, it is next to impossible to have good efficiency. Try to remain isolated from your peer-group and instead talk to your parents in your free time, which will calm your mind and motivate you in a great manner.
